NO CROWDS - BEST SCUBA DIVING EXPERIENCE
Located within the largest coral reef in the eastern hemisphere, the Bay Island of Roatan is consistently rated as a top Caribbean dive destination. Because of the island's reputation as a diving hot spot, there are many diving opportunities — and almost as many dive resorts. Unfortunately many visitors to Roatan wind up in the tourist-oriented West End of the island and never learn of the relatively untouched beauty available while staying and diving at Mango Creek Lodge.
When you dive with Mango Creek, you avoid the crowds. There are at least 12 dive sites all within minutes of our lodge, with seldom another lodge using them.
Watch the marine life without worrying about other divers knocking your dive mask off your face. It is seldom we have more than four divers diving at Mango Creek, providing you the best opportunity of seeing the marine life all around without interference.
Roatan Island's dive sites include spectacular walls, holes, and crevices that dot the magnificent reef system just minutes away from our dock. Hundreds of Caribbean fish and other water creatures populate our local waters: parrot fish, damselfish, tangs, puffers, jacks, rays, sharks, lobsters, and many more.
A DAY OF SCUBA DIVING AT MANGO CREEK
Your day starts off with a great homemade breakfast in the restaurant at Mango Creek Lodge. Then you have time to gear up and grab a water bottle before your day begins on the water.
A typical dive day includes two morning dives, followed by hearty lunch at the lodge and then an optional afternoon dive. If you wish you can exchange a day dive for a night dive. Just let the Dive Master know and he will be happy to accommodate your wants and needs for diving.
YOUR DIVING STAY
Starting on the afternoon of your arrival, our dive guides work with you to tailor dives to your desires and experience level. If you want reef dive, wall dives, and small wreck dives all during the week, no problem. Just let us know.
In addition to diving, as you're a guest of Mango Creek Lodge, throughout the week you have the freedom to relax around the grounds. Feel free take out a kayak, sailboat, or go snorkeling straight from your cabana's deck.
It's all part of the world class relaxing for which Mango Creek Lodge is famous.
DIVE SAFETY
Your dive safety is the highest priority at Mango Creek Lodge. During your dive, a qualified dive master or instructor is in the water with you at all times. We use the buddy system, conduct safety stops on every dive and include adequate intervals between dives. Our staff is trained in first aid and there is a local hyperbaric chamber.
DIVING PACKAGES AND DAY RATES
Week-long packages include 7 nights accommodations in an over the water cabana, transportation to and from the Roatan (RTB) airport, all meals & beverages, up to 3 dives per day, tanks, belts & weights, and use of kayaks, sailboats & snorkeling equipment. Diving Day Trips
DIVING DAYTRIPS ON THE EAST END
In addition to week long packages, Mango Creek Lodge also offers guests the ability to dive MCL for the day. You can do this whether you are staying at the lodge or not. This gives our non-overnight guests a chance to escape from the crowds and enjoy a taste of what the East End has to offer.
Our day trips start at 8:30am in Oakridge. You will be met there by one of our friendly staff and after a 15 minute boat ride you will arrive at Mango Creek Lodge. Once at the lodge you will be in the hands of our experienced dive staff. They will work with you to match your experience level and requirements and find the sites that are right for you. After your first 2 dives, you will return to the lodge for your surface interval and lunch. Shortly after lunch you will leave for your third dive. If you are doing a day trip our boat will return you to Oakridge at 4pm.

2 Dives plus equipment: $165.00 + tax

DIVING WHILE STAYING AT MANGO CREEK
If you are already staying at Mango Creek, but would like the opportunity to dive, we can arrange for you to add diving onto either your eco or fish package. These dives can be done in the mornings, afternoons or nights at anytime during your weeklong stay with us. Just let us know and we can set this up for you.
If you have never dove before, but would like the chance to learn…..ask us about our Discover Dive. You can spend the day with our dive instructor learning the basics and then taking your very first dive with us!
SCUBA RATE (GUEST): $65.00 PER DIVE, PER GUEST PLUS EQUIPMENT IS AN ADDITIONAL $15.00.

Diving Courses and Diving Certifications
DIVING COURSE ON THE EAST END
From a beginner to a seasoned diver, our dive course help you reach your goals while diving in some of the most breathtakingly beautiful waters in the world. We are not into cattle boat diving, the most you will dive with will be 8ppl and 4ppl is average.
DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING
If you are staying at the lodge and interested in just trying a dive, this is the option for you. After short a land based orientation and in-water skills session, you will be able to accompany one of our instructors for a dive on the reef. This dive will count towards an open water certification.
OPEN WATER CERTIFICATION
The PADI Open Water course teaches students all of the necessary skills to be competent and confident divers. This course includes classroom training and testing to understand the basic principals of diving, confined/shallow water training sessions to learn practical skills and 4 open water dives to practice your new skills and explore the joys of diving.
OPEN WATER REFERRAL
Prior to your trip to Mango Creek Lodge, you can complete the classroom and basic training with a local dive shop and our instructors can pick up from there. This course includes confined water skills review and 4 open water dives.
ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER
If you are Open Water Certified and want to improve your skill level and comfort in the water, then the next step is the Advanced Open Water Certification. This certification includes further classroom instruction as well as five dives including a deep water dive and an underwater navigation dive.
REFRESHER COURSE
A refresher course is available for those who have not been diving in a long time. This course reviews knowledge about equipment, dive tables, basic skills and buoyancy during one open water dive.
