About Mango Creek Lodge

Mango Creek Lodge is a specialty fishing and eco lodge located on the island of Roatan in the Bay Islands of Honduras . The Mango Creek Lodge grounds were originally home to a private vacation retreat, built from 1994 to 1997. In 2003, construction started on the resort, and Mango Creek Lodge opened for business in 2004. To meet the growing demand, most recently, the lodge has expanding to include an on-site dive operation.

From the beginning, the owners’ vision was to provide an intimate, casual vacation experience similar to the fishing lodges of Canada. Environmental and cultural sensitivity were also priorities. Every detail of the resort was constructed with these ideals in mind.

Today, Mango Creek Lodge welcomes guests from around the world to enjoy the beauty of Roatan. The island’s tropical charm and warm climate promise a perfect escape, and its abundant flats are among the best in Central America for saltwater fly and spin fishing.

Mango Creek Lodge is owned by Patrice Heller and Terry Kyle. Since completing their circumnavigation of the world in the sailboat Mango Tango in 2006, Terry and Patrice have split their time between Roatan and Durango, Colorado.
